"Limits" in an auto insurance policy mean the amount of coverage you have in an accident.  For example, your Bodily Injury (BI) limits might be 10/20.... which means you have $10,000 of coverage per person and $20,000 of coverage per incident to protect your family in an auto accident that was caused by you.  Additionally, your Uninsured Motorists (UM) limits might also be 10/20 or some other number.  Again, that means you have $10,000 per person and $20,000 per incident to protect your family if they are hurt by another automobile and not caused by you.  For further understanding of this, please see the blog or article.
